We left Narbonne before 9, heading upstream in the locks for the first time; rejoining the Canal du Midi and heading east.
Captain Dick had enough confidence in his crew to bike ahead and open the locks for us! See next post for notes on his wardrobe.

We moored along the canal close to a restaurant that came highly recommended. Many of our itinerary choices revolve around food and wine, and we haven't been disappointed yet.
